As God continues to guide we are stepping out in faith to start a new church plant in our home.  It has been a lot of God’s inner working to bring me to this point and yet I am ready.  The challenges have started already and I am sure they will only continue to grow stronger.

The Name: We have been seeking a name for some time and it has recently become a consensus that we use the name “Living Stones” as our church and ministry name.  The passage that this is taken from is in 2 Peter 2:4-6

As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For in Scripture it says:

   ”See, I lay a stone in Zion,
      a chosen and precious cornerstone,
   and the one who trusts in him
      will never be put to shame.

I love the picture. 

We are to come to Him, the Living Stone. 

We are to be like “Living Stones”

We are to be built up as a spiritual house.

What else could we take but the name Living Stones as we continue our fellowship together?
