		<description>I would add there is NOTHING that says that the LAW should be merciful to your enemy.  If your enemy has violated the law (a crime etc) the mercy that we are instructed to show is NOT for that.  This mercy is for their soul, there ARE consequences for SIN and if that falls under the law of the land then it needs to be dealt with swiftly.

If your enemy is a Christian and has done something illegal then they will want to make that right and face the consequences for their actions (sin/evil/etc)  If their attitude is NOT one of repentance then we see outward evidence of fallen man not of the Holy Spirit and they will be dealt with by God.

Best principle is to be slow to speak, slow to act, to just &quot;slow your roll.&quot; (thanks @Brock for that advice in the midst of a storm)</description>
