Happy Father’s day to my dad, Robert E Griffin?! God blessed my siblings and I with a father that was a sinner saved by grace. His life taught me the importance and strength of doctrine, a thirst for the Word of God and a burden for my world.Robert Griffin aka Dr. Bob

My Dad gave me a wide selection of music to taste from and helped me grow up within the safety of its escape for life and as an expression of my worship. From the “Sounds of Silence” to “All Hail the Power of Jesus Name”, my life and my children’s lives are filled with music as a result.

My dad taught me how to fish! I would never have learned to catch and release all the others before I found the one. He taught me how to bait the hook, just so. He taught me how to patiently wait on that bobber just floating on the surface of the lake. He passed to me the skills he had and encourages me to do the same with my family.

My Dad taught me how to love. To love my mom, to love my wife, to love my children, to love my church, to love my world. My dad taught me to be broken for the lost and to love them in hope that God would draw them to repentance. He taught me that love is lasting, not something that is shown for a moment and then forgotten.

My dad is my Father, my pastor and my friend. I could not ask for anything different, he is who made me what I am today. I am eternally grateful to the Lord for an earthly father that is consistently bent towards God, I pray that I do more than just carry on, but that I can bring to my children a path to follow for their generation as my father has done for mine.

I love you dad, I wish we were not separated by such a distance today, but then again, you also taught me how to Pastor and to be responsible for the care of the flock … boy this list could go on and on and on.

Happy Father’s day to all the fathers out there!
