One More Page
by Jeremiah Griffin

She rose before the morning,
With quiet hands in prayer.
A worn Bible on the table,
And mercy in the air.
She taught her home to worship,
She taught her kids to stand,
To trust the Lord through every storm,
And work with honest hands.

Her Bible pages faded,
With notes along the side.
The lines grew weak and trembling
As age stole strength and sight.
But every mark spoke clearly
Of faith that would not move,
A life that pointed every heart
To Christ and heaven’s truth.

She loved her precious daughter,
each generation just the same.
She prayed the Lord would keep them
And draw them to His name.
And now she waits with longing
For heaven’s morning light,
The day her Savior calls her home
And faith becomes her sight.

One more page turned softly,
One more whispered prayer,
One more song of mercy
Faith’s Melody wafts ore the air.
Soon the gates will open,
Face to face she’ll see
Jesus she has loved for years
In perfect majesty.
